Cracked Plastic Interior Panels

I have a cracked plastic interior panel that I need to get repaired. Does anyone know of anyone reputable in the Fresno area that does this kind of repair. The cracked panel in question is the interior panel just forward of the rear hatch glass. Thanks.

Check the Yellow Pages under "Automobile Upholstery" or something similar.

Unless it's an especially hard to find part, it's probably not worth repairing. If you can't find one in a junkyard, see if the local GM dealer can order it new. It'll be costly for sure at the dealer, but still far less than paying someone to repair it.

Personally, though, I'd break out the five-minute epoxy and fix it myself; that's probably all the professionals will do anyway.

Just replace it. Ebay or a local salvage yard will have the part. And it will be alot cheaper than getting it repaired

:lala: Lala thinks you sould check www.ebaymotors.com

there are alot of third gens at the junk yards here in fresno. u just have to look around to find what ur looking for. plastic int trim shouldnt be that dificult to find. if u get a new piece from a dealer, i would defiently stay away from howellel in clovis. michel chevy would probably be more helpful, but will probably give u a little bit of a run around at first. if u buy new from the dealer, its expensive IMO. last time i checked ebay there was a complee set of int plastic trim. it was kinda pricy, but it was the complete set.

Try going to tacreationsusa.com for that. They are Trans am creations and sell all kind of F bofy stuff. That or a junk yard because if the plastic molding snapped you will see the broken mark if you try to glue back. Hope I helped! Andy

Thanks for all the input guys. The problem is that GM discontinued this part some time ago and most likely any panels I find in a junkyard will be cracked also. It's pretty a pretty common place for this panel to crack. I'll bet most of you guys have the same problem and don't know it. The cracks occur around the fastener holes in the ceiling trim piece just forward of the rear window. I think I'm stuck getting it fixed at an upolstery place. Again, thanks for all the help.

Maybe you're one of the lucky ones, but try taking it off and looking at the backside.
