3rd and 4th gen wheels weights? A comparison
I'm not sure which board has the guy's that are wheel gurus so I'll post this is appearance, and body.
I want an idea of what some stock fbody wheels weigh. I want to see what wheels are the best looking and lightest for the dollar.
My Formula's wheels are soooo heavy. I haven't weighed them with the tires off though. Anybody who has weighed a stock wheel with the tire off post it on here. Especially looking for the weight of the early 4th gen Z28 saw blade design since they are probably the cheapest 4th gen wheels. I'm thinking of going with a 4th gen rear end to get posi and rear disc, so 4th gen wheels would be the perfect replacement wheels.

I recall HOT ROD having an article that mentioned that the 16" Diamond Cut (GTA Wheels) where the lightest GM factory wheels... I like the looks of them personally too...

The GTA Wheels were really light, like RaGe said.
They look good, but I think my new wheels look much better.
GTA Wheels,

WS6 17x9 Wheels,

Thanks,
The GTA wheels were sold a while back to a guy with a Buick GN.
He needed 4 fronts and that is what I was running on my car.
I sold them and used the money for my VetteBrakes Wheel Spacers.
I did get a hatch on the car, it was free too.

I like my Formula Wheels. I guess the best choice is to just keep them even though they are a little heavy, and build a 3rd gen rear end with posi and rear disc.
