Questions about interchanging parts
Hey everyone; I just hav a couple of quick questions for you. I have the option of getting two 1985 IROCZ ail light assemblies for $18 apiece at a junkyard. I have a 1988 Sport Coupe, and wanted to know if I can just change out the light assemblies; in other word, will all the bolts line up correctly on the tail lights of the '85 and my car?
Also,is it possble to swap out the gauge cluster wth the 145 MPH IROC one? My engine is from a 1986 IROC Z and my seedo only goes to 85 MPH. I think I can get the whole cluster for around $20 in mint shape. Are all the sending units the same on a 1988 SC as they were in a 1985 IROC? Is it just a direct bolt-in?
Thanks all for your time!

tail lights will go in perfectly, I put them into my '88 SC
As far as the Speedo, if you just are interested in the Seedo, just swap the speedo, it will work just fine, saves you the hassle of swapping the whole cluster. Speedo all read the same info, doesn't matter it will just bolt in and run perfectly, that is depending if the guage functions or not.
however if you want to swap the cluster if you are swapping from a v8 to a v8 it should work (dont qoute me on that) as long as it is electric to electric or cable to cable
a v6 tach will not work on a v8 and vice versa
