paint all interior panels?
paint all interior panels?
Is there a good way to paint the interior panels? I don't mean the dash, I mean all the plastic panels in the car, around the back seats, in the trunk, etc. I want to turn change my interior to all black. I need new carper, headliner, sun visors, seats, and black plastic panels all over. Has anyone ever done this? Thanks. -Brian
I'm doing the same.... I am basically sanding down the plastic peices w/ 800 gritt paper to ruff them up, then am using spray-on truck bed liner (interior color from red to black).... turns out very well, and is flexable.... plus i like the texture... hope that helps
Go to a real auto paint store (not autozone) and get SEM brand trim paint in the spray can.
look on the can, get whatever it says for prep, and follow the directions to a tee.
Then be prepared to touch it up ocassionally, the SEM works pretty good, bot it will get scratched off, as opposed to coming off in chunks like the autozone ****.

I changed mine from tan to black. I found a wrecked car and got everything but seats for 200.00 . I painted one pc and it scratchs easy. There are alot of black trim pcs. around. I would buy a few at a time and do it that way. Big problem I have is finding molded door panel. I am told a good body shop can stain (not paint) my tan ones. GOOD LUCK.
