Are these carpeted interior panels stock? How rare are they?

If so I want the black ones!

My 87 IROC with tan interior has carpeted interior panels, not all of them are carpeted but a few of them are... I will check later on my car and get back to you.

Mine were carpeted originally. I had the carpet removed and put on a thinner material. (same as the seats) Just thought it looked a little cleaner and easier to keep clean.

Deluxe interior got you carpeted console and kick panels. The carpeted rear panels were part of the Deluxe Luggage Compartment Trim, option code B48.

order about 6 yrds of stereo carpet, the stuff to cover sub boxes with, and some really strong adhesive and cut the fabric a little bigger than the size of the panel so u can wrap it around. they look awesome. i need a bout 1 yrd more cuz i bought 5 so 6 should be good but i also did the door panels.

The OEM carpeted pieces seem to be stapled and glued to the plastic panel. There only carpeted in the recessed parts of the panels too.

I personally am thinking of taking some other panels I have and carpet them in black so not to risk any kind of damage to my orginal black ones.

I like the looks of the complete panel bing carpeted, it looks really clean, and it should reduce on road noise.

so you can carpet the ENTIRE Panel? Even over the non-recessed areas around the area?

the trunk carpet stuff used for sub boxes etc, is really easy to form. you can make it look any way you want, almost.

door panels

anyone know the trick to removing the door panels??I just bought an 82 firebird parts car and the int is in extremely good shape so I am swapping alot of it into my 84 Trans Am. I have the panels all loose except for the sill or top of the door. I can't get it off, what is the trick.
on July 21st I am assembling a muscle car convoy leaving Rochester Minnesota and ending in St. Paul Mn at the fair grounds for the Car Craft Show. of course the convoy is free and you don't need to register your car at the show to be in the convoy. email me for details. southpaw1969@hotmail.com

trans84,

With the window rolled down, push the door panel (the black plastic portion) inward toward the door and lift upward.

Guys,

The Paddock sells the custom trim carpet, both bulk and pre-cut, for 82-92 cars. Check page 6 of their catalog.
