t top leak

I have a 92 with t tops and they won't leak if there is only a little bit or rain, but if it pours, or it rains for a while, I have leaks everywhere. What really ticks me off is that the t top weatherstriping is in great shape. I can't find any cracks or breaks in it. They will first leak towards the front of the passenger side, close to the window. Its not leaking between the window and t top, but from somewhere between the t top and the body. After a lot of rain, it will also drip from the plastic plate that goes across the roof in the rear of the car. The only thing I can imagine is that there is a leak between the weatherstriping and the body of the car. I've been meaning to take off the headliner and have someone hose down the car over the t tops, but I think it will be better to do that when I replace my headliner. That'll probably be within 2 months or so. Anyway, have any of you guys replaced the weatherstriping and completely fixed the leak problem? I'm afraid of spending my money on new weatherstriping and find that it still leaks cause it doesn't fit as good as the original. The only ones if seen for sale are aftermarket sets.

Do a search or just scroll down the page to find what other people are doing with their leaky tees. I fixed mine last weekend with some silicone sealer around the weatherstriping and where the metal meets around the middle bar and over the back seats. Most of the time the weatherstipping is fine, the weatherstipping just usually is not attached to the car right, allowing water to seep in.

Thanks man. I had already gone through old posts at camaroz28.com, but haven't had a chance to do so here. I'm gonna get to it as soon as I have some time.
