RPO code question.....
RPO code question.....
I just did the rpo codes on my car and two of them really got me. The first was D86 ( paint, two tone deluxe) and the other 23U (primary color exterior med maui blue metallic). My car when I bought it was white with black hood louvers. Was the blue metallic the color of it from the factory?? It was produced at the Van Nyuss plant so that was the one with the quality paint jobs right? Also if anyone has that color on their ride I would love to see it!! Sounds like a nice looking color. But two toned?? Im confused. Also had a code for soft ride suspension....is that special?? Thanks everyone!!

Correct me if im wrong, but isnt Van Nuys infamous for the "water" paint jobs? I think the plant with the excellent paint jobs was Norwood (something like that, if im not right). I think since the Van Nuys area had laws about which paints they could use on the cars, their paint jobs were considerably worse than Norwood.
I checked and the vin # matches up. Also the Van plant was the crappy paint jobs. But if that is my original color, id like to know what it looks like so maybe I can get it back original with a lotta clear coat or something. Anyways, whats up with that softride suspenion....is that stock?
