Look for body rot anywhere around the roof; if there's a rot hole, water will enter there.

Also, you could get some duct tape, and temporarily run the tape straight over the weatherstripping........ get out the hose and see if it still leaks.................... if the leak stops, that's where the problem is for sure. And take the tape of right away, before it makes a mess on the car.

If it is leaking...do you live in a state that your insurance has to cover glass replacement with no deductible? Just throw a rock at the windshield and call the insurance company.

Guys like this is why us honest hard working people pay so much for insurance. I have not had any accidents, speeding tickets or insurance claims and I still pay a whooping $1900 a year because of guys like this.Do the right thing and get it fix the right way. I mean how much can it possible cost? If I am not mistaken this is called "INSURANCE FRAUD" . I know I would rather pay $40 to $50 instead of a charge. And remember "When you do wrong it comes back on you twice as hard"

i had that same problem w/ my bird when i first got it. i also bought it from the previous owner w/ the sillicone all around the window, it used to leake like crazy when i was driving in the rain so bad it was hitting me in the face, cd player all over the place. i put up w/ it for about a year. then i got my car painted and when they painted the car i had them take out the winshield and fill in all the rust spots just above the front winshield and rust treat it the put it back in. looks realy good now and it dosent leak
