Transmission: Auto, 5-Speed

GM P/N for "Power Bulge" T/A & Formula Hood Screen

Does anyone have the GM part number handy for the open screen that goes in the back of the bulge on these hoods? I want to replace my solid plate and don't have time to search salvage yards for one right now...

I think it is:

for 82-84 Trans Am p/n 10023479
for 87-92 Formula p/n 10024254

the screen has been discontinued since about 1984, good luck finding one. I fabricated one before I found the one I have now in a junkyard...

Why don't you just drill some holes in your solid plate? Just do it in a pattern--so it'll look similar--that's if you care how it looks--much easier then searching the yards for it.
