Power Antenna

What is the best way to access the power antenna? I need to replace mine as this jerk-off bum snapped it trying to wipe my windows for a buck when I was cruising in the city. I was thinking of getting one from JC Whitney as they only cost $40. Anyone know of a better replacement?

Go with the GM part. It is a tight fit in there. They are like 76 or 100 bucks. You can also buy just the replacement mast for like 50 bucks.

I had to take my wheel off, inner fender loose, and the air duct in the side of my fender out......... on my 86 T/A to access the antenna. I was repairing the mast cable with a kit.

I'm not sure on your model or if you have to go to that trouble just replacing the mast.

Just to make sure there is no confusion. I didn't loosen my fender either...... don't want you messing with your fender alignment.

In my case I loosened what I call the "inner fender" or the plastic thing inside your fender well above your wheels. Mine was held on by plastic rivets. That and the airvent on my fender gave me access.
