Alternatives to Head Liner ...

My headliner needs to be replaced. Its dirty, ripped in parts, and coming un-glued (mostly thanks to the T-tops). I was wondering if there's any options besides having the headliner fabric re-done??? I think i remember seeing once a hard plastic piece that would replace the entire stock one, but how would this look??? Anyone have pics of what they have done, if its not stock???

thanks,

KZad

I know how this is possible. I found a nice pair of t-tops at a Pick-a-Part. I put them upside down on a stack of tires to clean them and swap the latch components and trim onto mine. I was finished with one, set the 2nd on the tires and decided to take a break for lunch. Less than 5 minutes later I remembered I had water on in the backyard and went to turn it off. On my return ot the house something caught my eye. SMOKE! The t-top inner mirrored surface and it's concave shape caused it to focus the sun light too a bright HOT circle about 5" in diameter on the edge of the wood shakes of my roof. Put this down in the chapter, "How to start a fire, without really trying".

Back to the topic. I thought the plastic t-top replacement pieces were supposed to be covered with fabric. They are just more durable and moisture resistant them the OEM molded pressboard. I have C&C aftermarket t-tops, so it doesn't apply for me. Lon

My uncle once leaned his t-tops against his car (obviously the wrong way). When he went to put them back in, he noticed two BURNS in his ground effects. Had no idea how they got there.

He figured it out later when the sun was reflecting through one of the Tops onto his stomach. He got up quickly! ... haha

SOOOOOOOoooo .... back to the origional subject of Alternative Headliner Options: anyone have/heard of/seen anything???
