The trunk motor horrors

I have an 89 RS with the trunk that latches then sucks it down tight. When I took my stereo in to get it installed(xmas present) they broke my freakin trunk!! The 2 screws that hold it in broke off the screw holes! They, of course, deny it and will not pay to get it fixed, so I'm stuck w/ a duck-taped drunk motor hoping it closes everytime I open it. Is there anyway to fix this thing or does anyone have an old motor I could get from ya cheap/free? Also, how hard is it to swich to one that you just slam shut and thats it, no motor, just a latch? It really is a pain in the ace, not to mention embarrassing, when it doesnt close and I have to take the back panel off and re duck-tape it in! Any help/suggestions would be appriciated

I sell the parts to repair the 86-91 hatch pull-down assemblies. The replacement nylon guides, reinforced motor housing (yours is broken) and the gear nut. E-mail me if interested. Lon (aka Top-Down Solutions).
