just so everyone knows, you dont need a complex bent piece of wire, you need a ruler, plastic/wood/metal. just straight down above the lock. hell, one time i used a pamflet from the gas station, folded it ofer a couple of times.... damn...

Why not add how to hotwire pass keyed cars, oh wait that thread exists too.

NOTE TO THIEVES: None of these techniques work and you will be shot.

Re: How to Break into a third gen.

My car is retardedly easy to break in to. I locked myself out of it once and a guy from AAA came and used a piece of 1/4 inch rod bent like a 7 and slid it around my window and nailed the unlock button. Took a total of maybe 30 seconds to position it and press the unlock.

The best ttool that will work on every car, is the long metal rod , the one with a tee handle and a inch long 90degree finger on the other end. It is usually coated in a bright powder coat. And is used with a plastic wedge.
The other tools like the slim jim "A" either take too long or "B" only work on a few cars.

true. however not everyone has one of those in a house or from a store.. A coat hanger works very well on thirdgens.. I can unlock a thirdgen in less than 5 minutes with a steel coat hanger. does not really take that much effort once you figure it out the first time.

Yep, you can get into about any car that way, as long as it has a removable antenna. If it's stuck, you can just bend it and un-screw it.
But, a spare key is always best

Re: How to Break into a third gen.

When I locked my keys in my car at home I just found a long skinny rod and bent the passenger window back a little to get it in there, ran it through to the driverside and hit the unlock button. I don't have t-tops, its a hardtop. I hear that the 4th gen guys can just bent the window back and stick their arm in to unlock the car. Its scary how easy these cars are to break into.

Re: How to Break into a third gen.

yall realize that you can get in these cars in seconds with a butter knife right? stick in at the top of the window and pry outwards, stick one hand in and pull the window straight out, it will go out a good 3-4" inches so you can get your entire arm in...

its by far the quickest method for getting in the car.

Re: How to Break into a third gen.

I locked the keys in one of my parts cars once, and I found all you need to do is pull out the side window slightly, and use the radio antenna to unlock the door.

I can get into any 3rdGen this way in about 20-30 seconds. T-Top cars are easier for some reason with this method.

I have used this method 8-10 times now over teh last 10 years to get into my own cars, my 88 Camaro Hardtop I locked the keys in 4 times, My Formula T-Top once the night before a Car Show I locked the keys in, my Friends 91 RS Hardtop we locked the keys in at a Toy Show
