DE1 Rear window louvers

i am in the market to find a set of factory rear window louvers. my car has the code for them, but the previous owner has taken them off. i am wanting to know if the factory DE1 rear window louvers are made of aluminum or plastic. the year of my car is an 89 and i want to put the original window louvers back on. also, does anyone have a pic of the DE1 rear window louvers on there car. i just want to make sure i know what they look like. i have an idea what they look like, but just want to make sure. thanks to all.

The factory louvers were ABS plastic on the sides and metal slots in the middle. They lock together nice and tight and have a one piece look.

Here's mine.

i have another question on the DE1 rear louvers. are these a 3 piece design that can be taken apart or a 1 piece design. i would think that they are a 1 piece design being from the factory. thanks.

All Louver sets will be a minimum of 3 pieces. The factory set is a one piece look. The curved sides are ABS plastic or PVC (whatever) and the center slats are metal. Once they are put together, they don't come apart. A black sealant is used when installing the slats into the plastic. This gives a tighter hold and reduces the potential for rattles.
