What is a "header panel?"
I was looking thru the Classic Industries Camaro catalog, and they have "header panel emblems" that look just like the emblem on the front of the car. Where would those emblems go?
on the front of the car. The header panel is the panel between the hood and the grill on the 1st and 2 gens. The 3rd gen incorporated the header panel into the front bumper fascia. Look at this 1st gen. the 6" panel at the front of the hood is the header panel.

Hmm, why would there be "header panel emblems" for the third generation Camaro if we don't really have a header panel? They also sell "front emblems" as a separate product, so it almost seems like they are different items... apparently not?
While looking at the Classic Industries catalog, they refer to the emblems as header panel. The front emblems they are referring to are the front fender emblems. If you look at the 82-84 berlinetta header panel piece, it says 3 required. Obviously there aren't 3 of these on the header. They have these things named incorrectly. The 3 needed would be 1 for each side of the car and 1 for the rear.
