Yeah I used the vynal repair kit on mine.

It does not work. feel free to try it. If you do don't use the iron provided. Cover the crack with a wash cloth and use a house iron on the hottest setting.

The problem is that the repair material scrapes off very easily. I would buy another dash pad if I could find one.

If you get the kit to work, pm me and tell me what you did.

tried the repair thing too, flakes off and is very hard to do when the crack has seperated enough to make the edges at different levels of height.

Im looking for a new one too.

Mine dash pad is cracked right by the drivers side door on that
corner. Thats the only place. I went to the local
Dr. Vinyl yesterday and he said he could probably repair it but it would be noticable. He said my best bet would be to have
it recovered. The way they recover it is they order a cap
from this company in California and it just goes right over
the existing dash pad. They don't even take the old vinyl off. The patch the cracks underneith so they don't come threw on the new. Hey said they have never had one crack for 10 years. I am going to go that route when I decide to get mine done. He had a camaro one their and it looked very nice. He said it will cost $160.00 but then atleast I won't have to mess with it the
rest of my life....

Seems kind of a bad problem area. I was thinking filling in cracks with some type of hard resin. Then just re-rap the dash pad with some fake leather. What do you guys think?

wrap it

ive been lucky and mine is pristine. however, for you guys, if you cant find one at a boneyard or afford one, i think i would go that route ..ive seen dashes wrapped in tweed that look pretty good, and i think wrapping it in vinyl would look even better. just something to consider.

Might I suggest a few visits to the local 'bone-yards'?
I've picked up 2 dash pads there for $25 and $20. . .
I looked funny carrying one of them home on my motorcycle
for MYZ. . . anyone remember him?. . . or me?
