here is a picture of my homade shifter plate

Hope it works... I havent done this in awhile Well I have been looking for a 5 speed shifter plate for about 2 years now, I havent had any luck finding one for the 82 to 84 console..The picture is not very good but you get the idea...

It is made out of about 1/4 inch vinyl off of a storm cut that was cut down, then I got a thick carbon fiber decal to put over it from the motorcycle shop.. i think they use them for tank protectors... I made a really good template from the automatic one and then put that on to a piece of stainless steel, then i took the stainless steel template and screwed it to the vinyl and cut it out so it would stay straight, then I i filed the edges and sanded to the exact shape of the original...
