T-top visor.

Can anybody give me the dimensions on the t-top visor? Just wanna know like how thick it is, how wide, and how long. OH and how exactly it stays up there. Working on a little project of mine and would appreciate it. Thanks

I have two of them sitting in my attic. I'll try and get the dimensions for you tomorrow.

Are you talking about a flip down sun visor for a t-top car or a "sun sheild" thing than attaches inside the t-top?

I don't have a set but was thinking about making a set to kkep the car cooler in the summer when it is pargked. I am thinking that you could measure from where the lip is on the out side (Plastic trim and to the crossbar) then make it so it is held up by stuff that is already there by sliding it between the trim pannel and the glass then towards the T bar and see if I could get it to stay in the channel.

Yeah, the thing that goes up in the t-tops. I fiberglassed over the inside of the top, obviously with something protecting it, but it needed to be much smaller, and I kept cutting it down, but I could never get it to fit just right. So i wanted to see some specs on the OEM pieces. That and how exactly do they attach?

OK - Sorry I don't have the "sun shades".

If it were me, I'd make some out of cardboard to get the size/shape just right. You could even then use the cardboard as the "sun shade" by taping the edges, coating all sides with some fiberglass resin, and then covering with fabric. I could be wrong, but I think I remember reading that the factory ones attach with velcro dots/strips. I think the inner edge could slip between the glass and the inside trim (thus needing no extra attachment) and the outside edge could be held up with a couple velcro dots.

Maybe I'll make myself a set.

my 89 GTA came with a set and they attatch with litte velcro squares on the two corners closest to the middle, on each top. the other side rests on the plastic trim between the trim and the glass. Hope this helps.
