I would also recommend eveything in that article. So far I have done a A/C and smog delete along with the rear seats and floor mats and put on some IROC wheels in place of the steel wheels and I pull the jack and spare when I am staying close to home and I can feel a difference an this summer I am getting a fiberglass hood and bumper cover. I would strongley recomend everything in that article. Right now I weight 3,200 pounds and when I go the rest of all that along with the aluminum heads and electric water pump I will barley weigh 3,000 pounds and I also have NO power options.

If ya want to get real crazy you can get a fiberglass rear decklid and a lexan rear hatch window, titanium retainers on your valve springs, aluminum heads, aluminum water pump, aluminum intake, take out insulation under the carpet, fiberglass hood, skinnies up front, take your front sway bar out, take your power steering pump and power steering box out and replace it with an aluminum flaming river manual box OR Get a tubular K-member with a manual rack, coil overs, and tubular a-arms. And do't forget you can also break out the holesaw bit and have some fun.

Talk about serious weight reduction

I may pull the insulation out also I heard it weighs quite a bit.
