Humming noise, right rear
Humming noise, right rear
Ever since I have had this car, the right rear brakes vibrate the entire car at a certain spot. I have changed the calipers, pads, and rotors on all sides of this car. When I am putting a certain amount of pressure on the brake, I hear a "THUMMMP THUMMMP THUMMMP" back there. Damn near shakes the doors off. And hell is it loud and sound retarded with other people around. Anyone have any ideas? When I bought the car it did have a bent wheel. Someone on another board suggested a bent axle? I have had the car in the air with the new wheel on and it rolls smooth.

i'd say a bent axle also, how's the pad wear on that side?? wearing one pad more than the other? I'm guessing that when you give it a certain amount of pressure the back brakes are actually working causing the noise.... Our stock rear brakes aren't known for working all that great It's hard to say i had a slightly bent one and didnt notice until i got stuck in ice and left the car in drive to push it
