brake questions

Brakes aren't a priority on my list yet, because my car stops well with the 4 wheel disc i have now. but I'm thinking of my next project....

I'm leaning towards LS1 fronts, C5 fronts, or C4HD. I don't wanna go aftermarket b/c i want parts that are available easily at the local parts store. I can get LS1 fronts pretty inexpensively, and i still may do that, but I'm running 97 T/A wheels now (16") and 97 T/A rear PBR discs. I'd really like to do c5 brakes, but my only hang-up is whether they fit under 16" T/A wheels..... I keep hearing a resounding "no". has anyone stuffed the c5 brakes under 16" wheels? if so, how would i go about doing it? if not, are the c4 HD brakes better than LS1's? if not, then I'm gonna go with LS1 fronts. thanks for the input.

(PS: I tried a search first)

I know ebmiller88 fit C4HD's under his 16" camaro wheels. I don't know about the Ls1 style calipers. His pictures saved my a** when I did my 1LE upgrade..

LS1s will obviously fit a 16" wheel, espeically the 4th gen wheels because....those cars came with...those wheels

As for LS1 vs. C4HD, its hard to say. C4HD rotors are 13" vs. the LS1's 12", but the LS1 rotors are 1.25" thick vs. the 1.1" of the C4HDs, and the LS1s have the newer style calipers with bigger pistons.

I went the C4HD route and should have them installed within a week or two tops.
