Rear drums lock up, with very little pedal pressure, what is wrong???

I have a 90 rs 3.1 with drums in the back, a week ago my booster went out, so i replaced it ( that was hell LOL)(the top right bolt under the dash was not fun) anyways, now my rear brakes lock up and squall if i have to stop a little suddenly, NOTE it happened a little bit before the booster went out, but now it is rediculous, and when they don't lock up, when i am light on the pedal when i get close to a stop you can feel them griping hard like they are fixing to lock up, any suggestions? i got the booster from a junk yard, and used my same rod with the bad one that was on mt car already

Sounds like your proportioning valve is messed up or you have a blockage in your brake lines. The valve is below the master cylinder and has steel tubes in and out. They sell adjustable ones also thru Summitt or Jegs. The valve takes the fluid pressure and sends more to the front brakes and less to the rear.

that would make sense i guess, because it really feels like the fronts are not even working, like the whole load is on the rear

May want to check the rear brake shoes. The shoe with less material on it goes toward the front. Folks have a natural reaction to having the shoe with more material on it to be incorrectly placed as the leading shoe.
