Got the rear caliper kit, and please help me figure this out.

I have just received kit # 18019028 kit to rebuild my 1983 rear calipers (from WWW.GMPartsDirect.com). No instructions, but I have found them on this web site, and assume that they will suffice. My question to you is: The pistons are not smooth and glistening polished steel or chromed steel. Rather, they are steel which is finished in a matte dark grey. Do I use Noxon on them, or what? Are they proper, or is something not right? Thank you for your continuing help.

Seth
