What setup?
What setup?
Ok I've been doing a lot of reading, and it looks like when it comes to brakes, I have the choice of Baer, 1LE, C4/C5, and LS1 brakes. Here's the deal, It's an 89 Trans Am GTA, with drum 10 bolt rear, I don't like the idea of switching to a 9 bolt.
So my question is, what's a good way to go? Like I'd like something that I could realistically bolt on or modify myself, but I want 4 wheel discs all the way around. And I'm not exactly hot about the idea of using Baer fronts, and say, C4 rears or something like that. I'd like to have some uniformity with the whole project, as the brakes are always going to be exposed, and I don't like mickey mousing with stuff.
That said, does anyone offer a kit or something for the rear to convert, Like Baer? or am I best off doing the LS1 thing all the way around, and trying to find a good machinest around my area (Southern Ontario, hour out of toronto) to do the hubs? Or does anyone here pre machine the hubs and ship em out? I'm kind of lost here, and really don't want to dick around with of all things, the brakes. And which setup would be considered one of the more cost effective? I.e. best bang for your buck.
Thanks,
Alex
