Autozone? What exactly are you asking for? If it were me, I'd just do a brake upgrade instead of replacing the stock stuff.

Click the link in my sig for what I did on my '88,,,

yeah, but how much is that going to set me back? I just need to ge tthe car on the road as a daily driver for two years and i am on a budget. After that when I start teaching I'm going to go nuts, but for now I need to have brakes for the sake of having brakes. I was just trying to avoid the rock bottom of Pep Boys, but it looks like that's what I', going to do. Any tips on workin on the brakes on this car, looks very straightforward to me.

New 1LEs front and rear will be about $1500-1600, so it's stock stuff for you. I'd just go with remaned stuff from Autozone for now, upgrade later.

If you know a friend at a machine shop who will cut your hubs and make you the brackets for free you can do the C5 front conversion for about $500. Cost me just over that.

$800 for stock replacement parts...that's why I upgraded to 1LEs. That's about what they ran me...$800 for the front brakes with new GM 1LE parts, and about $100 for the complete '89 Iroc rear with PBRs on it, so $900 or so for a complete 1LE car that will stop like crazy.

Good luck with whatever you decide on.

Of course! You know I was only talking about the wax and stuff!! Yeah, just going with the reman stuff for now. With all new fluid and those new parts. The mc is only 6 months old, so that's nice, but the fluid wasnt changed, so it probably really needs to be bled.
