1LE 9-Bolt question
He guys, I need some help. I want to do the the 1LE upgrade on my 88 iroc. I need some info on the rear. I have a 9 bolt, what do I need as far as backing plates? Will ones off a 10 bolt work or will ones off of a 93-02 work. I can get a PBR setup from a 10 bolt or there are lots of parts on ebay from the 4rth-gen cars. If I get the 10-bolt stuff and I need a 9-bolt backing plate can I get them cheap?

No the backing plates off a 10-bolt will not work.
No the PBR calipers will not work on your existing backing plates.
The only thing you can do, is to try to find a pair of 9-bolt PBR backing plates. They are not plentiful at all. There's thousands and thousands of people trying to chase after both pairs that are available in the world at large. Well, maybe there's 3 pairs.... but I doubt it.

I got mine on the car last week, so there's one more set accounted for. That only leaves one. Good luck, young grasshopper.
I thought someone was making/supplying the 9-bolt PBR backing plates now.....maybe it's just wishful thinking though....
Anyway, if you can find the backing plates, the calipers and brackets off an LT1 car will bolt right up, they're the exact same thing. The backing plate is the only difference.

AndyZ28 was/is making them. Check the following link for pics of the differences between the two backing plates:
