Difference Between 1LE and stock brakes

Difference Between 1LE and stock brakes

I have 1LE brakes front and rear. Whats the difference between stock brakes and 1LE brakes???

standard front brakes are 10.5" rotors, single piston iron calipers, 1le are 12" rotors, dual piston aluminum calipers. iirc the rears are the same, unless ofcourse you have drums

technically, 1LE and stock can be the same exact thing based on factory options your particular car came with

How to tell?
Simply measure the diameter of your rotors.

1LE rotor measures 11.65"
baseline brakes measure 10.50"

It is also possible to have 1LE rears and baseline fronts from the factory on certain years (I believe it was 89 1/2" through 92 that some cars had a combination of the two)

There actually aren't any "1LE" rears, the 1LE cars had the same J65 rears that were used on every car starting in 89.
