Wrong Hose Kit?

Hi Guys,

Ok, I’m nearing the end of my brake conversion on the car. The steering knuckle has come back from the machinists the new hub is part done, all the underside is painted and I’m turning my attention to replacing the old flexible brake hose and caliper, but I’ve found what could be a major set back
Ok, when I ordered my Earls braided hose with the Willwood kit I made sure I stressed to the guy that I needed the kit and hose for the 91 Firebird with the single piston/ front disc rear drum set up EAR 28A180ERL. He said that I’d need an adapter to fit the caliper to the hose kit and so this was sent too. I’ve now found out that although the adapter does indeed fit the Willwood caliper, the hose kit has part number EAR 28A190ERL on it which I’ve found to be for the Firebird with discs all round and this doesn’t fit the adapter at all see picture!
I know in the kit the instructions it says that you must use the old banjo fitting to connect to the new hose. Does this mean that the new hose goes to the banjo fitting and this then goes in the adapter and caliper?
I’ve not taken the old hose off yet so I don’t know how the banjo fitting is configured and I’m hoping this is the case. Does anyone know if the 190ERL is the same as the 180ERL but with added rear brake hoses, or have I got to go through all the mess in getting more hoses?! I should be p**sed that I’ve been ripped for the extra $26 but I put that down to my own stupidity on not checking the part numbers more closely when I first got the kit, I guess I won’t feel as bad if I can still use these. Any help is as ever appreciated.

Speed.
