hey i'm looking to do a rear disc conversion before i get new wheels next spring or summer. and i found a kit for $150 it's off of a '96 T/A. i read the link about switching from 3rd gen drums to LS1 discs but i was just wondering if that same process works for LT1 brakes. are the 2 brake systems the same or what kind of differences are there that i should be aware of before buying the kit?

I'm no expert, but it seems to me that the LT1 conversion is a lot easier than the LS1 conversion. Since it is basically the same thating that came on 89-92 3rd-gens.
At least that is why I chose LT1 rear brakes.
The reason LT1 brakes are easier is that the parking brake will be easier to hook up. Some of the brackets may also fit better.
