From the body of the car to the hard lines on the rear end, is this a dealer only item?

 

No, any parts store should have it.

I got mine from Advance Auto Parts, but it was special order only. It SHOULD be stocked as it should be replaced routinely along with all the other flex lines, but since most people fail to replace these at the proper interval, the stores never sell any and thus don't stock...grr...

 

Our local parts stores say they can't even get it.

 

You may be relegated to ordering online. My flex line from the chassis to the rear end was $30 and from there to the rear calipers were $15/each.
