Rebuilt caliper or buy caliper rebuild kit?
My RR caliper is bad, so I will either replace it or rebuild it. Does rebuilding the caliper take long? 1-2 hours, less than 1, what is the time table for a first timer?
And what is more reliable of the 2 options?

More reliable and quicker: rebuilt caliper. PBRs don't take that long, I can do one in 20 minutes or so assuming I don't have to replace any damaged parts. Usually they're OK, just dirty as hell. It depends on the overall condition. If it's really bad just replace it with a rebuild.

So do you think I should try and rebuild it and if it's still F'ed up, just buy a rebuilt one?
One more question, do the reman'd ones come with that bracket that goes over the disc, what is that bracket called?

Loaded calipers will, standard ones will not but will come with guide pins and the e-brake cable bracket. Can you post a pic of it? I can't give a full recommendation without looking at it...which side is it anyway? I have a few extras and can swap it out with you for some cash..LMK. Pics would help.

Just got a rebuilt one. Much MUCH better condition than mine was. The bracket that attached to the ebrake spring on mine was bent beyond belief. I thought it was normal.
*** I hope this is the end of this problem with the rear end. Oh and the passenger side axle saver I installed, but didn't need to because it was the driver side one that went bad,,,,,,,,is bad. Imagine that?!
