Can I install my Line Lock on the rear brake line so that way I can turn it on, and then apply the brake just to the fronts? This way I can do a slow rolling burnout instead of just sitting if I were to lock the fronts.

 

You would only be doing the same thing as power breaking it. Not gonna accomplish anything that way.

 

If I installed it on the rear line, I would be able to engage the solenoid with my foot off the brake (essentially disconnecting the rear brakes) and then press the brakes and only actuate the fronts.

This would be much easier on the rearend then power breaking. Im just asking if my theory is correct, because most people install them in the front lines, press the brake, and engage it to hold the front brakes on. But I want to be able to slowly let off the brake and roll out of the burn.

 

i have line lock , and why not just install it normal but dont push the brake all the way down and then the fronts will lock part way and allow the car to roll and do a long burnout , im telling ya though , do it normal and let them smoke for about 10 seconds and they get real greasy and you will leave some serious marks.

 

It will work the same on either the front or rear line, the only difference will be whether I have to actually hold the pedal down. I think Ill do it on the rear for the added control and the fact that there is two front lines, so Id have to install it before the proportioning valve and that would be kinda a pita for me.
