Rear Drum Squeal

I'm considering the new rear with a posi and disks but in the meantime the car has recently started to give me a wicked squeal out of the driver's side rear wheel well. This only happens for the first couple minutes of use and then goes away.

Is this normal or an indication of abnormal wear on the drums or some other problem?

Thanks gents,

I had something like that with my 91rs. When first started, and I backed up and then applied the brakes, I heard a horrible screaching grinding sort of sound. I took it to a brake place and he suggested that the rusty drums have something to do with it. He said it was not worn pads beause I had a lot of meat left on them.

ya my car does the same from all the mechanics i have talked to it is common for the drum brake shoes to swell with moisture and cause them to grind until they heat up.
