4th Gen Proportioning Valve

Kind of covered but not really....

I have a 1991 Camaro RS with drum rear. I am swapping in a disk rear from a 1995 Z-28. Can I use the Z-28 proportioning valve in my RS. By use I mean will the line pressure be corrcet, and are the line flares the same? I really want to avoid flare work and attempting a correct distribution of line pressure. So I guess I want to know if it will be "Bolt-in"

4thgens dont have a prop valve... they use the ABS block... atleast the later ones do, its been awhile since i stuck my head under a stock early LT1.

you dont need to touch your prop valve.. just bolt the rearend in.

our stock prop valves are set for VERY VERY VERY low rear brake pressure (we bearley use the rear brakes when stock)

even with the better LT1 disc brakes vs the drums or stock discs, the fronts will still lockup first, and you will still be under-utilizing the rear brakes.... so you far on the side of safety with the stock prop valve.
