Which brakes rotors/pads???

Hi Guys,

I'm Tom from the Netherlands, i have an 85 Camaro 305TPI whith the 700r4 tranny.

Now my question is how to get some firmer/faster brake "feeling" ,i have recently replaced the brakebooster, mastercylinder, new calliper front and back and also replaced the brakepads, i have bleeded the system and there isn't any air in it, but i'm not satisfied whith the result. The car wil brake but when i push the pedal it take too long (mayby i'm exspecting too much SPELLING??) that the pads are grab the rotors and will slow down the car.

I was thinking mayby my brakepads are too hard or something like that, what kind of rotors/pads can you advice me?? Or a possible brake upgrade (not wilwood or baer they are too expensive to get them here) mayby an set of LT1/LS1 brakes, but i'm driving around on 15" Nascar style rims so it can be not too big. So i whas hoping that some of you can give some tips/info
Any input would be appriciated.
Greets from the Netherlands,
Tom Brochard

Have you thought about some slotted/drilled rotors?? A few companies are making stock sized/fit rotors that are drilled and/or slotted. Also use a good set of pads too that arent a hard material.

could be bad pads
i had something similar like that on my jeep
replaced pads, bit better

did you use cheap pads?

EBC's are supposed to be really nice.
Ceramics are ok, but i personally dont like the bite they have
i have them on the XJ and Probe, and dont care for them

another pad i like are the Brute Force ones, and the VGX ones Summit sells
i've had good luck with those, typical street driving

You could replace your rubber brake lines with braided steel lines. That should help with the pedal feel.
