brake problem

Engine: 350 lt1
Axle/Gears: 3.23
brake problem
I just bought a 89 rs 305 camaro and i was speeding down the road and saw a stop sign. Well I waited a lil too long and stepped on the brakes real hard and my other cars will almost skid but this car just slowed down slowly no violent stop. The brakes work fine never had a problem just when going fast and stopping sorta quick. Is sumthin wrong or just sucky like that. THanks for ne advice.

My 91 RS started doing that when the master cylinder went (I also got intermittent BRAKE light when the MC went).
