More 6 piston stuff...

I noticed these on jegs... now keep in mind that I really want to keep the car looking stock.. well I need to since very shortly I will applying for classic status(I can't afford insurance otherwise). Its basically what I wanted to spend for an entire brake package but what the hell..lol

JEGS High Performance - Wilwood Camaro/Firebird 6-Piston Brake Kit

They are for the 4th gens... Anyone have exprience with these they weren't available all to long ago. I wanted to know if they could be easily mounted and if they would clear Stock 16" Iroc-Z Rims. The idea is to not make my upgrades to the car apparent while maximizing performance. Still trying to figure out what Im going to get. The nice cheap Corvette C6 Z06 PBR's are out of the question because I need to retain my stock Rims and rear axle.

Edit: can brakes designed to run on abs run on a traditional locking brake system.. I hate ABS its for people who cant control themselves when something happens.

what about a c5 modification to the spindles? removal of the ears and drilling etc. I wasn't really worried about them bolting on. I can bolt on C6 Z06 brakes, what Im worried about is if they will work and if they will fit the wheels.

C5 caliper conversion...

C5 Wilwoods.. difference should be in the caliper and rotor.. otherwise its supposed to be a direct swap...

Now that I look at the pricing even cheaper would be the LT1 Camaro Conversion... Unless the C5 conversion would be the same as the 98-02

I've done C5 calipers with a LS1 rotor and they fit inside 16" rim:

Also, that 6 piston setup just may fit if you use LS1 hubs and brackets, you can't use the Wilwood hubs but the rest will likely bolt on. You could always send them back...
