Pulling to left while braking after rotor change

I just changed my front right brake rotor. I never replaced a brake rotor before however it was fairly easy. The problem is now when I brake my car is pulling to the left. Any suggestions on what I should look atto fix this or something I may need to do that I may have over looked when replacing the rotor???

other than the obvious thing that maybe the new rotor has a better surface I would guess you have a bad brake line on the right side. When you hit the brakes more fluid goes to the left making it pull. This happens from age or doing a brake change and leaving the rotors hanging off the lines. Why didn't you change both rotors?

I just moved out of state and had to do a quick rotor change because it failed inspection with the rototr that was on it. The other rotor did not need replacing according to MD inspection standards. I had to just fix it quick to get it to pass and get it registerd in MD or i would have had to pay $$$ (penalty for not getting it registered within 60 days of moving into the state).

So the first thing you think I should do is attempt to replace the brake line. I had the caliper tied up while working on the rotor , it never hung from the line. Would bleeding the brakes help??

if you never cracked the system bleeding is not needed. Since you didn't turn the old rotor on the other side that's probably where the pull is coming from rather than a hose. One rotor is just getting more surface bite than the other. If you have time I'd do the other as well and if it's more than 15 years old replace the lines from the frame rail to the caliper(rubber ones) I was suprised what a difference in pedal feel I got when I put stainless lines on mine vs. the original rubber. Also, my new rear disc setup changed things a bunch too.

Always best to do both sides the same especially on cars as old as ours. Two rotors or turn both, both brake hoses even calipers.....just tends to give a much better result.....more even braking.

??

The problem may be with the brakes you fixed on the right side. If the right side was working better, your car would pull right, not left. I think.
