Brake Problem
Hi guys, I'm having a problem with my brakes. I noticed that when I had the car'ss front end jacked up to replace the oil, I gave the front wheels a spin to check the bearings. The bearings were fine, but the wheel on the drivers side was very difficult to spin. I took the wheel off and I noticed that it seems that the brake pad is pressing against the rotor, it isn't doing this on the passenger's side. Is this the caliper out of adjustment or something and how do I fix this myself and how difficult is it to do? Also if I had a shop do this (which will likely happen because I work from 8 A.M to 9P.M every day) how much should I expect to pay? Lastly is it bad for me to drive my car in this condition? Thanks.

Really the only two things it could be is the caliper or the hose. Parts wise the caliper (if it's a one piston) is like $12 after the core, and the hose is around $15. A shop will probably want to change pads and rotors which is probably not a bad idea since you will have more wear on one side of the rotor. Labor for the change will probably be around $75-$100
