Coil spring compressor - 1984 TA ???

Hi,

Please tell me what kind of spring comressor I should use
for the front coil springs. I have an 1984 Firebird Trans Am.
I am beginner, I never lowered a car until now.

I have a compressor but I had to make it shorter because it was
too long. And the problem is now that there is not enough space
around the spring to place this compressor. I can only place
one compressor on the side near to the brake disc. But on the other side
(near to engine) I can not place any compressor. Or the compressor
should be put inside the spring through the hole in the control arm?
I could not compress the spring with this one compressor placed outside, the spring still pressed the control arm very much.

Please tell me which compressor I should use and please send me
pictures about how it looks and if it is necessary please explain me
how I should use it. Thank you very much.

Regards,

Laszlo

you need to get the compressor that fits up inside the coil spring

Oh crap, I didn't see your location so I'm not sure how you'd go about getting one over there..maybe a repair shop can rent you one?
