big brake hub question

I am looking at doing the machine work myself and I cannot find the directions for the size the finished hub/rotor needs to be. Can somebody point me in the right direction?

You need it just small enough to drop into the rotor. I cut mine differently for some kits...which one are you going with?

I really want to go with the ZO6 but I will most likely ge the LS1 setup due to its stong over the counter availability. Also, I am looking at building a kit for an 81 Camaro. I am doing a total front clip restoration and now is the perfect time to do the measuring and fitting. I know you are really good at these brake kits, would you be willing to help out with this project? I have access to the spare parts and machine work but I would like to have and "expert" to double check my measurements and make sure the system will function properly.

Let me know.

Glad to help. A good measurement for LS1s is 5.9" but not much less.

For your '81, have you gone to www.nastyz28.com ? Lots of 2nd gen info there, I'm slowly working on a '70 as well.

I am assuming you are talking about diameter?
