replaced brakes, brake pedel does not feel right

Car: only GM,88 camaro, 91r/s camaro, 91
Engine: Clean oil, looks fresh, no leaks
Transmission: Bright Red, never burnt, no leaks
Axle/Gears: currently whining
replaced brakes, brake pedel does not feel right

ok here is the deal , i replaced the front brakes cause pads where worn, now i notice driving around the pedel is going to the floor sometimes and feels as if i need to pump them once before coming to a stop... but as i compress the pedel i can feel the pads grabing and working it just seems as if i need more pressure in the pedel.... what should i check frist ? or what could this bee??i check fluid it could be old how offten should i replace the fluid ???

You had good pedal before replacing the pads? Sounds like air has been introduced into the system or you have a leak. Are you loosing fluid? Did you open the bleeder valves? Did you compress the caliper cups when you installed the pads? Might possibly have damaged a caliper seal?

Back to basics. Check for leaks and go back over the componets that you touched. Bleed the system if no fluid leaks are found.

Check the things Wade said first.

Did you use ceramic pads by any chance? Those things take a while to seat/match the rotor. I almost rear ended a cop when I put the ceramics on my '92 - they really made the braking feel funny for a couple of days but are fine now.

it the caliber seal round by chance ???

Yes it's round. It is the rubber seal that goes around the piston cup that you compressed when you changed the pads.
