A simple brake upgrade question..

Starting to look into the different brake upgrades and the advantages and disadvantages of each..tried searching for the answer but didn't really get anything that compared each one head to head. The only thing I found was pics of Ed's RS with the C4 HD setup.

Anyway just wondering how far each kit will push the wheels out in relation to stock wheel location..

Ed can probably answer this..interested in measurements for the LS1 swap vs C5 swap vs C4 swap vs 1LE

Thanks guys and merry christmas

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
They are all arbitrarily close to the same; between about .250" and .300".

All of them use a hub (which is the same in all cases), and a rotor slipped on top of that. The differences between them involve the rotor diameters and the calipers and their brackets, and are VERY minor in terms of fitment.

Cool that's good to hear, I just didn't like how the C4 HD's pushed out ed's front wheels, which I know can be fixed by putting rear wheels up front. I just didn't know if they all pushed out as much as the HD's.

Sorry for posting late but he's correct, all others besides the HDs will push about .300" per side, not that much at all.

FWIW I'm running the regular C4 setup with crossdrilled and slotted rotors (for looks) along with Bendix TiMetallic pads and it stops the car like whoa...especially compared to the stock 10.5" setup. This is still with drums out back.

I ran them for a while as well. It's a very good and very underrated budget setup.
