4th gen to 3rd gen wheel swap

Hi,
I just bought a 91 fromula 305TPI 5 speed with the WS6 suspension. Would the wheels off of a 96 Trans Am fit the car? The bolt pattern seems to be the same. However, is the offset on the wheels the same. Someone had told me that the WS6 formula has different wheel offset for the rear wheels, than it does for the front. Is this true?
Thanks in advance

True, the 4th generation wheels are "deeper", our vehicles must use wheel adapters, 2.5 inches thick i think, others will verify, and allot of people i see use the wider 4th gen rearend, and only have to use adapters on the front, the 4th gen rear is wider.

You can run 2" adapters. I actually still have a set laying around the house.

Can you use these on all four wheels? How do the 16X8 fourth gen wheels fit with respect to the fenders when you use these adapters? Are you willing to sell them?
Thanks

2 inch spacers

Hey bud i swaped from 3rd gen wheels to 4th gen wheels i am running GM factory 17x9 ZR1's now with i "think" its a 36mm offset.
i had 2 inch spacers on all 4 corners,.... but i installed a 4th gen rearend about 2 months ago and no longer need the rear spacers i only had them on the car for 1 week.
i would sell them for $55.00 shipped in the lower 48 states.
