Brakes going?

I'm not sure but I think something is going sour with my brakes so, I bring the simptoms to you guys.

For a while now, the brakes have been extremely hard when first pressed and then got softer immediately as the car slowed. Now it seems that they are hard longer, and a sudden pull to the left side. If I release the brakes and push them again, the car will stop perfectly straight.

What do you guys think, 88 Formula L03. Stock brakes, drum rear.

That's te rubber flex lines.... rusted up and almost completely blocked inside, as usual...

I suggest the Earl's stainless ones, instead of stock.

I'm sort-of familiar with earl's brake lines. I put them in out back when I broke a line dropping the rear to change a fuel pump. I bought them from a member, but I dont think he sold them (Read: I don't think he was "Earl", lol).

Where's the best place to get a set for the front. Would I only be replacing the approx. 12" portion that goes from the fenderwell area to the caliper, or is there more rubber line before that that needs replacing?

Thanks for the help.

You can get the Earl's lines any number of places; board sponsors such as Spohn and maybe others, Summit & Jeg's, your local speed shop, etc.

The flex lines on the front are actually kind of long, like 18-24" or so. But there's only the one at each wheel in the front which is what sounds like where your problem is. I don't think they sell the fronts only though, only as a complete set.
