Trans am calipers

Car: 1987 Pontiac Trans Am GTA
Engine: 355 Stealth Ram
Transmission: 700R4 w/ 2600 stall
Axle/Gears: 9-bolt 3.27
Trans am calipers

Hey guys, i have seen calipers on LS1 cars mainly T/A's that say Trans am on the caliper like the corvettes i just would like to know if the come like that or is it a sticker? I tried to find a picture but couldnt find one. Thanks Daniel

I would think a sticker would burn off. Don't know for sure though.

It's usually a sticker on LS1 calipers, they don't come with anything stock. Some of the custom cars, such as the Hurst or Firehawk did have logos though. You could always have a logo airbrushed on so it's a bit more durable.

Are you talking about something like This? If so these are made from a 'metal' type of decal and won't burn off. I bought a set for my '02 Camaro back in late 2001 and put them on after painting the calipers. After that amount of time and 87,000 miles they still look good. A few years ago at a road race day at Buttonwillow I got my brakes so hot that I boiled the fluid and had no brakes but the stickers staid on. FWIW
