THUD noise?

THUD noise?
hey guys.. my car has been making a weird sound and i cant seem to figure out what it is.
when i am going pretty fast and come to a rolling stop i can hear like a..
thud-thud-thud-thud-thud-thud noise when i stop... its not the wheel bearing(i think) as it is making a good amount and noise
the shocks are really old and the brake pads dont have the springs to hold them in place but they make a metal to metal sound clink sound.
what do you guys think this could be?
