WILWOOD how much is too much?
ok to start off i was able by the grace of god to get wilwood to send me out some brakes for a show truck im building. I must say i was realy impressed with the kits they sent me. ill put up 2 pics to show you guys.
this is a ford 9in rear with the late model kit

here is the front set up.

now my question is for my camaro {daily driven} and with the goal of 375hp to 400hp max how much stopping power is too much? wilwood and many other companys make kits for the camaro ranging form 1-2-4-6 piston calipers im looking for a set up thats not overkill but more or less flows with what the car needs.

Depends on the use of the car. If it is daily driven I wouldn't worry too much about it. Nobody knows their product better than Wilwood does, hopefully they will have some kind of phone support that can give you some assistance. Any company worth its salt should be able to recommend the right kit for your needs if you give them all of your information.

I figured i would ask you guys. I could call jegs.
Re: WILWOOD how much is too much?
Its not necessaririly the size of the caliper so much as the size f the rotor you need. The hub and the rotor needs to be strong and enough mass to disapate heat for the weight and speed of the vehicle- for repetitive stops in worst case senerio that you yourself cold be stuck in. A single piston caliper is fine but for example using it on a non vented 11 inch rotor on a 4000lb vehicle would overheat the rotor and crack it in a heart beat.
My Wilwood setups front and rear- mine is a bit overkill for most people, not for me. THhs car will do an amazing 60-0 in 102ft repetitively. Fronts are 13x1.25 inch rotors and 6 pistion radial mount calipers/ rears are 12x.81 with 4piston calipers- 1le factory combo valve and this thing is very balanced. This is actually big brake setup engineered combo designed for a heavier 4th get car that I retrofitted onto a 3rd gen.http://www.cardomain.com/ride/518752/6
