Front Brakes Stuck On
Front Brakes Stuck On
So I just got my car going again after 3 years of not driving it on the street and the front brake are stuck on. The pedal is rock solid all the time running or not. The back brakes work fine but the fronts don't release. So I took the wheels off cracked the bleeder screw on the front calipers and they released just fine but as soon as I touch the pedal they are stuck on again. I was thinking maybe the proportioning valve. Anything else I should try before I replace the valve.

Re: Front Brakes Stuck On
after setting for a couple of years i would say its the flex brake lines . the inside can go bad , allow press. to go in but not return . may sound crazy but it does happen [ it happened to me ] . the flex lines are different from lt. and rt. , check the line bracket and fit before you tighten things up . also this is a really good time to flush brake system . bleed rt. rear [ untill clear fluid ] , lt. rear , rt. front , and lt. front . i dont think you have any problem except bad flex lines . might as well replace the rear flex lines while you are at it . hope this helps .
