Best pads for the street?

What are the best pads for the street? I am about to have C5 front brakes and stock 91 disks in the rear. I am eventually going to change the rears for LS1, but this summer I am just changing the front. What pads should I get? I hear people always saying they picked up a set of Hawks pads. Are these nice? I am almost a total newbie when it comes to pad selection. I just know that race cars have pads that need to get hot to work, and some people think it is cool to run those even though they never get them up to operating temp. I just want really nice street pads. Hopefully that come in C5 and 91 Camaro rear.

Thanks.

Hawk pads all the way. I have them on my 2002 Z-28 with Baer Eradispeed rotors. Great combo.

Not really sure. I have a few friends though that have the Hawk HPS pads in thirdgens and love them. All around a good brake pad. Dust a little more than stock, but very grippy

Dust is OK, I wash the car once a week anyways, and my gunmetal rims are very good at hiding any dust as it is. haha.

Looks like its settled, Hawks HPS pads it is!
